Participant Confidentiality & Community Guidelines
Our Commitment to a Safe and Supportive Environment
At North Star Thrive, we believe meaningful growth happens when individuals feel safe, respected, and supported. To foster an environment of trust and connection, all participants, facilitators, speakers, volunteers, and staff are expected to honor the following confidentiality and community guidelines.
Confidentiality
Participants may choose to share personal experiences, stories, challenges, goals, or reflections during retreat activities, workshops, coaching sessions, group discussions, or informal conversations.
By participating in a North Star Thrive event, all attendees agree to:
- Respect the privacy of fellow participants.
- Keep personal stories, experiences, and sensitive information shared by others confidential.
- Refrain from sharing another participant’s personal information without their explicit permission.
- Avoid recording, photographing, or distributing private discussions without consent.
- Honor the trust that is extended within the retreat environment.
Participants are always free to share their own experiences and insights after the retreat. However, we ask that they do not identify or disclose the personal experiences of others without permission.
Respectful Communication
North Star Thrive welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
Participants agree to:
- Treat others with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Listen actively and without judgment.
- Allow space for differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Avoid discriminatory, abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior.

Personal Responsibility
Retreat experiences may include personal reflection, educational content, coaching, group activities, and wellness practices. Participants are responsible for making choices that support their own physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Participants are encouraged to:
- Participate at their own comfort level.
- Respect personal boundaries, both their own and those of others.
- Communicate any concerns or needs to retreat facilitators when appropriate.
- Seek professional medical, mental health, financial, or legal advice when needed, as retreat content is educational and inspirational in nature.
Photography, Video, and Media
North Star Thrive may capture photographs, video, or promotional content during events.
Participants will be informed when media is being collected and may opt out of appearing in promotional materials whenever reasonably possible.
No participant may photograph, record, livestream, or distribute images or recordings of another participant without that individual’s permission.
Harassment-Free Environment
North Star Thrive is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone.
Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, unwanted advances, bullying, or inappropriate conduct of any kind will not be tolerated.
Any participant who experiences or witnesses inappropriate behavior is encouraged to notify a North Star Thrive team member immediately.
Violation of Guidelines
North Star Thrive reserves the right to address behavior that compromises the safety, integrity, or experience of the retreat community.
Depending on the circumstances, violations may result in:
- A private discussion with retreat staff
- Removal from specific activities
- Dismissal from the retreat without refund
- Restriction from future North Star Thrive events
Our Shared Agreement
By attending a North Star Thrive retreat, workshop, or event, participants agree to uphold these guidelines and contribute to a community built on trust, respect, authenticity, growth, and mutual support. Together, we create a space where every participant has the opportunity to Reset, Rise, and Thrive.
